I forgot my beats flex the other day and picked up a pair of DeWalt like these from home Depot for $40.
They came with a couple different shaped ear pieces and work pretty good.
Worth the $40

JK... I just use plugs, but I am not using big machinery on a regular basis.

I do and i feel like plugs have damaged my ears more than protect them over the years
but in a machine shop the choices are limited
