Heating Table?

I have a 5x10 Centennial Brunswick billiard table. I would like to heat it. Has anyone done this? If so where did you get the pieces to do it? Like the heat tape and thermostats? Did you insulate, did you place the heat tape on the slate, how was it attached? Anyone with knowledge of this, your input would be greatly appreciated. Thx Larry

Larry: I just installed a heating system in my 1912 Brunswick. It works wonderful. Here is everything you need except a helper to pull the cable.

FTS-1 programmable thermostat
dft1022 86ft of heating cable
metal(aluminum) tape
insulation

I have read Glen RKC advise using an electric blanket... Sounds very sensible to me.

I've looked into doing it on and off for awhile. Do you keep on all the time? If not, how long does it take to heat up? What's the monthly electric bill on it?
