Do people still find themselves playing in leagues or tournaments with heavy cue balls??? I thought this was a thing of the past, but I don't get out much and mostly play at pool halls. (I just played in a tournament where all the tables used heavy cueballs and it was not pretty on how I played).

Most places in my area use the Aramith Green Logo magnetic. It plays very close to a red circle.

If you find yourself in that situation again, think "follow" when you play position. The one I haven't seen in a while is the oversize cue ball.

So the cue balls appeared to be a red circle cue ball made by Aramith. And I researched this a bit and that is a pretty standard cue ball with a standard 5.9 to 6.0 oz weight. So now I am thinking perhaps I was imaging the whole thing and the cue balls weren't really heavier. But then, in doing further research, I noticed the following sold by Walmart https://www.walmart.com/ip/Generations-Game-room-Red-Circle-Cue-Ball-Billiard-Cues/919676544. Says it 6.5 oz. Maybe that what was being used (or I was imaging it all :)).

Was it a magnetic ball you played with? It is uncommon to see a cue ball that heavy unless it's a steel core.

Think I'm going to buy one of those mini digital jewelry scales to keep in my pocket or bag to know for sure from now on...lol.

Behind the scenes....
