I have been reading and lurking on this forum for quite a long time. I have learned quite a lot from you all and want to say thank you. I have also learned that things have changed a lot from when I first started playing back in the late sixties.

I live in central Ohio, and its about 60 miles from me to the nearest "real" poolroom. Bar table 8-ball is about the only game played here. I drive to Columbus to play 9-ball occasionally.

I read the thread on Justis cases. Thanks for the info. I think I'll stick with my old porper 3x6. Maybe someday I'll get a Whitten. I also read the thread on what it takes to be a champion. It made me glad I've always worked a full time job and played pool for a hobby.

I will continue to read what you all have to say because usually you all are writing about the same things I want to know about. And I will look at what you have for sale because sometimes you have something I want to buy.

This is a really good forum. Thanks again. Steve Doyle

Welcome aboard. Yes Ohio is seriously suffering in the billiards department compared to about 15 years ago. Hopefully it will improve and thrive again. I am hoping that happens by the time I head back up there to visit, but 6 months probably isn't long enough.
