Helmstetter cue, December 4, 1989, # 1 of 25

Good morning everyone. I was hoping some of the resident experts could help me with some background information on this cue. Original owner (my dad), purchased new from Blatt Billiards (in 1990). I've searched around online and have found plenty about signed Helmstetter cues, but very little about this series or similar from 1989. Does anyone know the background/story on this cue? This series? I can't seem to attach more than one picture. It's telling me the file is too large for the server. I'll post them separately. Thank you very much in advance.

As i stated on your initial thread/post Helm offered a few lines of 25/50 cues. Well made cues with ADAM quality of the day. Depending on inlays etc i've seen them on Ebay in the 4-700 range. Some ask for way too much and they usually go in that range. The VIP's(early 90's) bring the most $$ usually.

Thanks. Original shafts, not sure what tips, but I'll find out. Haven't played with it in a very long time, but my dad was up until this month. Someone once told me this specific series was exclusive to Blatt Billiards, but I asked a few people there years ago and they had no idea, LOL.

Its possible but i doubt it was a Blatt's-only line of cues. Very nice and in great shape.

Thanks. Me too, LOL. They had one guy there who was there back in the late 80's and early 90's. He said they sold several of those sticks, but he didn't have a lot of info on them. I've seen others throughout the 80's, far fewer from the late 80's and early 90's. I showed it around a couple of local pool rooms. Funny how someone tells you what it's worth -- you tell them you'll take 20% less than that, and they won't write you a check, LOL. Thanks again garczar!

Don't take checks from pool players at a pool hall.
