Help! Another Cue ID Thread

Hey folks. Sorry if this should be in the Ask the Cuemaker forum or somewhere else, but I can't remember where it should go so here it is.

A guy I play with is an ex-collector and has a few holdouts from back when he was collecting. He tends to have nice players cues - an old Scruggs with a lot of inlays, couple of Benders, Tascs, all that good stuff just sitting around not being used. We were going through his cues and I didn't recognize this one and he doesn't know what it is. This is the only one of his cues neither of us can identify, and I don't even recognize the pin. It's like a 3/8x11 but piloted and the whole joint is brass. Buttcap looks like micarta. He had an inkling it was an old Kersenbrock, but I thought Kersenbrock used the 3/8x14 pin that Bender uses. Anyone got any ideas? And mods, feel free to move this if you see fit. If anyone wants to see photos of anything else let me know. Photos:

That's not micarta, it's one of the many ivory - colored plastics that aged yellow.

The pin looks really odd. How long is it? Looks ridiculously long.

Good to know about the buttcap. The pin is actually not that long - looks similar to the Bluegrass pin.

Looks like a Terry Stonier cue.

Interesting cue, especially with the brass piloted joint
The cue is not a,Kersenbrock although he did use 3/8-11

This actually seems make sense after a bit of searching. In the only couple of photos of his cues I found, the rings (brown/reddish phenolic at all points) are exactly the same and the pin and buttcap look similar. Only problem is in those photos the pilot on the joint isn't visible. Anybody happen to have one of his cues? Seems like they're pretty rare.

I was going to say a Stonier as well, but I believe he did flat faced joints. The other options if it was picked up here in California Bay Area would be a Kirby cue maybe.

I agree, it looks very similar to the Stonier cue I have. I like the cue a lot because it has a very good hit. I knew Terry and he was a great guy! He loved the game and players felt that so he was very well thought of!
