Nothing is as classic, nostalgic, handsome, great tactile feel as Cortland Linen.
I’ve just cleaned the CL #9 one of my cues and have been glass burnishing it
so the strands lay flat and smooth. The wrap looks brand new and feels terrific.
Just don’t let your natural hand oil and dirt accumulate where it discolors the CL.
Clean it using a light spray of water followed by circular motion towel drying. Try
to towel rub the wrap in the direction the wrap was spun on the cue. Then glass
burnish using hard presses, very rapid strokes across the entire wrap. Figure at
least 10 minutes of burnishing the wrap and break it into 1 minute increments. If
you do it right using very hard pressure and rapid short strokes, your arm will tire.
That’s all you have to do to maintain your CL cue wraps. My Schon has CL #9 and
it was completed by Bob Runde in 1985. The wrap still looks in excellent condition.
