Help Identify Cue .. Trophy?

I bought this cue to play snooker back in 1990 (Canada). My snooker coach told me it would be great for my game and was a rare find; I was 17 at the time. All I remember is that he told me it was a trophy cue, but this is probably due to the style of joint? I played snooker for a couple of years, switched to 9ball, and kept the cue in storage. If someone could provide some insight to who made it , what its worth, and if restoring would effect its value, I would greatly appreciate it.

Irwin - German cue maker from Canada

I went back to the source and contacted a buddy of mine, Brian Butler, who lived in Edmonton, AB Canada during this time. He said it looked like a Irwin cue. He was a German cue maker who lived in Canada and hung out at Century billiards in Edmonton. This joggled my memory. I have no clue of its worth since he didn't produce a ton a cues back then, but now I know who built it.

Update... cue restored..

For those who are interested, I got the cue restored buy Darcy (Cuejo's Cue Repair) and Ryan (Rat Custom Cues). I still don't know much about the cue, when it was a house cue, but would be interested about any feedback. Here's a link with my blog entry for more details.
