I've looked at all the Meucci catalog pages I could find and can't find an exact match for this Meucci butt. It originally had a regular maple shaft but I screwed it up trying to remove a small warp.

The closest I can find is a 97-4 but it's not an exact match.

Any ideas?

The rings look like those used on the MO-4 or 95-9 except the joint ring is missing the lower white ring. Niether of these were merry widows. Not sure I will keep looking.

Anyone else want to take a shot at this?

Is it possible I have an "unknown" Meucci?

That missing ring looks funny, maybe someone did a repair on it and removed it.

Could be crappy repair or just another turd that escaped the factory. Wouldn't be the first time. 90's-early 00's were not good yrs for this brand. Lot of junk that should have never seen the light of day.

So, rather than having an ultra rare, non cataloged collectible cue butt, I have a piece of crap that is better off as kindling?

No offense but i can't see that cue ever being considered ultra rare or all that collectible. Even if the factory dogged it and left off a ring all you have is a plain-jane 90's Meucci missing a ring.

Sarcasm is often missed in plain text format.
I am aware that many "real" players look down upon the likes of the Meucci or the Adam.
The reality is there's nothing special about most cues other than the owner likes them. Anything else is tiny percentage points of differences.

As for this cue butt, I was pretty sure it's nothing special. I was just curious if there was an actual style that was like that. It appears to be a second though. Probably fooled someone into paying top money when it was new though.
