Help identifying a cue

Hi all, thanks for the help in advance. I recently was gifted an older Meucci cue (please save the hate for another time) and I've been unable to identify which model it is. I attached a couple pictures and I was hoping that someone on here could help me out with a model number or name.

Thanks Poolguy4u and master_cueist. I just got my first table and this is the first nice cue I've had. I don't follow the 2 point vs 4 point distinction, so I think I'll have to do some homework on that topic. Again, thanks for the help

This link has the basics of pool cue anatomy. Be careful or you might fall down the rabbit hole!

The points he was asking about are on the forearm of a cue. On this cue it would be the four white points that splice into the maple forearm. You will probably have a gazillion question when you start to get into it (if you do) about shortsplice and full splice and ferrule material and joint types, etc....

Just remember that the search function is your friend and will answer 80-90 percent of your questions. I recommend the cue gallery, main forum, w/fs section and the ask the cuemaker section for learning about custom and production cues. If you come across any more cues, please don't be afraid to share.

I know a guy with a similar cue, he called it a meucci maximum when I asked him what it was.... Not %100 tho for sure tho

Thanks for the help guys. galipeau - I should have heeded your warning. Down the rabbit hole I went.... I still haven't been able to specifically identify the cue, but I found a shop a few towns over that does appraisals so I'll just head that way sometime soon.

Oh no...not one of those appraisals. I'm sure they will say around $800 and in reality it is worth between $300-$350 on a good day on Ebay.

The last one I've seen like this went for just over $200 though.:)

I'm not really concerned with the value, I just like to know about things I own, and aside from brand I know nothing about this cue. I'll take the valuation with a grain of salt. I appreciate the word of caution.

This cue looks like a limited edition series. I think from 1990. If you pull the bumper it might have a round coin looking thing with production date and and what # it was in production. Value obviously depends on condition and who you are selling to. $200 to $250 sounds about right.

Thanks Cueballal,

I'll take a look and see what it says. I've looked everywhere for a picture of this cue, but it's not in any catalogs that I could locate.
