Hey guys Im in South Carolina and trying to ship something to Japan, I have never done this before and am looking for a little guidance. What carrier options do I have? I prefer to ship from the post office because it will be easiest. What is the norm here when shipping international. I don't want to skip over any kind of insurance packages or anything. I've been trying to figure this out through the USPS website, but I'm lost I suck at this kind of stuff and the guy im sending to is about as useful as me. It would be cool to find a rate so I can figure out if he still wants it.

additional customs declaration form to fill in.

japan is strict on items that contain ivory which u might wan to take note.

I usually ask the sender to declare the item to be $100 or $150.... anything less than $200 will most likely be able to get thru custom...

USPS is good... Avoid using Fedex, UPS, DHL....etc...
