Ok so I have had these three shafts for some time now. I would guess 10+ yrs? never noticed it till today when a friend of mine was using my BK2 that he said there was a crack.

I looked at it and it is a crack but it's along the splicing so I assume it's de laminating. I pull out my other two 314 shafts and they are both like that as well.

Idk predators warranty policy but it's been so long I wouldn't even know where to get the receipts. I paid in cash for my P2 and bought an extra shaft from my pool hall. And the BK2 was a gift.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Did you fill out and send in the warranty card, or phone in your info? If you did that, you shouldn't have any problem. When I got mine, I phoned it in. They asked where I bought it from, and the serial number. All there was to it.

Glad others here had a good experience with Predator's warranty. My 12-year-old son had a BK2 that I bought from a Predator dealer, and he split the shaft like a banana peel on one of his breaks after less than 12 months of use. No miscue, just hit the cue ball dead center, Samsara tip literally broke into several pieces and the shaft completely de-laminated. Sent the shaft back to Predator with all receipts and the best they would do is sell me another shaft at "cost", which was about 75% of the retail price. Not a great experience, and this after I've purchased nearly a dozen Predator shafts from the same authorized dealer.

I continue to use 314-2 shafts, but I've switched to OB break shafts for the BK2. I've found they hold their stiffness better over time and appear to be more durable (none have failed catastrophically). Hopefully you'll have better luck with your warranty experience.

Solid maple!:D

But seriously, good luck I hope they replace their defective products. I say defective because the odds of all three breaking through normal use is 100 % apparently.
