HELP! Need to sell an 8' Brunswick Montebello table & accessories

A generous couple wants to donate their Brunswick Montebello table to our church. We decided to sell it and put the money to good use. The table is in immaculate shape and rarely used. It's always been covered, in a nice, big and non-smoking home with no children. Apparently they're not pool players, and neither am I. I'm the pastor of the church and know nothing about pool tables. They showed me the original receipt they purchased for over $9000 about 6-7 years ago. The table is still at their home, in San Jose / Saratoga area, California.

Would you please help me with

(1) what would be the best way to sell this table? Here? Craigslist? eBay? I'd assume we can only hope to sell to local buyers only.

(2) what price range can we expect to sell this for? I've seen lots of tables under $2000 in local Craigslist but they're more lower end I think.

(3) any further tips you might have I'd really appreciate it.

THANK YOU!

The used table market is terrible. ebay will probably be your best bet with a "Local pickup only" shipping choice. There are many incredible tables available in more desirable sizes in your area, and most pool players want a great playing table, not a pretty piece of furniture. A used Gold Crown can be had for under $1000 and those are far more desirable to a player than an 8' Montebello. Start the bidding on it at $500 and see what happens. You [and they] will probably be terribly disappointed by the price it sells for, but that's how the market is right now.
