im having trouble when coming from the short rail how to hit a spot on the long or short rail
sorry its a pool table diagram but i couldnt find a billiard site to diagram what i want help with
the "chicago" sid system works well when you dont get too far up the long rail
as you get to 8 and turn the corner to the short rail it doesnt work as well
help with calculations please
or another way to do it

ie how would you hit ball 4 form the cue ball and the stripe ball positions on the short rail
since diamond 4 should be how to get the mirror position then that diamond on the short rail is 10 so the next diamond would be 12
12x4 =48
when i shoot from the middle diamond at 48 the cue ball goes 1/2 diamond short of my desired hit point of object ball #4
so how would you figure out where to hit??
