Guys I need help. I am moving into a new house next month and I want to build a game room. Hopefully I willl have a custom made 9 footer in there but I have no idea what kind of specs or how much money I need for this room. Any info anybody could give would be a great help!!!!! I also want to have a bar and probably a home entertainment system. Thanks in advance.

I would think ten to fifteen G's should cover it. Dont know what you mean by a custom made nine-footer but that could get quite expensive, and if your entertainment center includes a plasma well....... I think you might need more. lol. JMO

10 to 15 for the room? There's a guy around here that builds them he is a friend....table shouldn't be more then 1700 tops.

Just the specs for the table you will need a 19'x15' room to comfortably play. Now that doesn't mean you will have comfortable seating, or a bar, or an entertainment center. So that being said a 20' x 25' room is normally about right to add all the little things you might want to add in a room like that. Also if you want a good playing table for the money then you might look at Proline. If I could have fit a 9' table in here I would have bought one, but I bought and 8' because of room size. I went solid oak and 1" slate with Simmonis 860 cloth. Get whatever you want for a table though cause your the one that has to be happy with it. I hope I helped for room specs though.

First get the outside dimensions of the table your getting and then add a cue stick length to each side. Bulbs should be 36" off play surface.

Im in the middle, towards the end of construction on a 26x30 size room with a 9 footer, and I will have room for all the little nick naks with a little extra room to spare. Its better to go bigger than smaller if your building from scratch IMO.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the responses. And Jeffrey that's kind of like the way I want to set up my room. Now I have to figure out if I am better off adding it to my house or building it apart like a garage.

Jerry ... You might think about special times, like I have friends that have a Pool room in their basement with bar, 7 footer, with couches and a big
screen, stereo. They always have a Super Bowl party, everyone brings a dish, and we play Pool, talk, and watch the Super Bowl together.
