I know Mark "St. Louis" Shooter, but don't know his son. I've watched many instructional sessions that Mark has done and place him high on the knowledge/abilities board when it comes to Instructors.
Best of luck to his step-son, Derrick Keith, on his future and career!!

Well, I have no idea what this thread is about, but I just wanted to say that I stopped by Mark's new poolhall last night for the first time to talk with him about setting up a lesson and at the end of the night ended up playing with his step-son (I assume mark thought that I would get distraught by being slaughtered by him over and over again).

Derrick has an AMAZING break, it's so hard it's not even funny. I really enjoyed playing with him. I won a couple of games, but he's definitely better than me. I would've won more if I wouldn't have been so nervous about Mark watching me play, I missed some very easy shots.

All-in-all though, his poolhall is great. It has a very "private" feel, due to it's small size, but has a very family-like feel too. There was always some sort of laughter coming from somewhere :D

I stopped in Mark's place last Wednesday evening to chat a while. Mark is such a great guy to talk to about pool, life, pretty much anything. I agree that his place has a family atmosphere feeling to it as well as a great place to take lessons and play a little. I try to stop in every couple of weeks just to say hi.
