Recently Savannah lost its only Pool hall.
I would like to open a new one. One that is family friendly. A place to enjoy some good food and the game we all love. I am wanting to tailor it towards family and youth. Not the smokey old pool hall.
Somewhere Mom and Dad can come enjoy and bring the kids to enjoy as well. Including trying to push a youth pool league.
I am planning to put 10,000.00 dollars of my own money into this but that is not enough. So, I started a gofundme account in hopes of raising the rest of the money needed to start this.
Savannah unfortunately does not have many places to go that the whole family can enjoy. I want to add one more place.

Here is a link to the gofundme account. Please help. Any donations help, nothing is too small. I know that this can happen.

So you won't have a poll for dancers?

Yes it's true. Savannah lost it's only pool hall, Southside Billiards, a few weeks ago. To the few people this affects, it's a sting in the pool community in the area. Locals now have to drive in upwards of 40 minutes, or to Jacksonville, for decent rooms. Southside was a family, kid friendly environment, and it went under. So, let's ask each other this: will pool players in Savannah support a pool room in Savannah? Having lived here nearly 8 years and playing all of them, I'm not so sure. The better players all moved out of here, even when the pool hall was still open, partly because they know there's nothing going on here. Savannah has become a truly sad example of what happens when pool is dying in a town that once had at least a little action.
It's great to have kids and family in pool halls, but the one of the main reasons why pool halls stay open, is the pool players that come in daily. If they aren't taken care of, the room will suffer, as shown with a closed pool hall.
The city of Savannah has had non-smoking laws for years now.

Man I hate to hear that. I spent a month in Savannah last fall and went to Southside almost every day. It seemed to be well run and full of friendly people. I was looking forward to returning.
