Help With Cue Identification

Hi All,

I'm sure I'm not the only one that saw this on eBay the last few months and was curious if anyone had any thoughts on the possible maker? The cue has definitely been played with (I'm thinking a previous owner wore rings on their back hand as the forearm has no dings but the butt sleeve is beat up pretty bad) and in desperate need of a refinish which it will be getting. The initials MRS are on the butt cap but I cannot find any other markings. I've searched all of the cue identification threads on here and didn't find anything on this cue but if you are aware of one please link it. Thank you.

I was watching that one. I never found who made it. Please repost after a refinish so I can kick myself for not buying it.
 
Unusual the veneers aren't mitered in the corners of the boxes. I'd think that woukd be a major clue as to who built it.

Hopefully you didn't overpay for it. The general consensus on Facebook was "import or Mali"
 
Maybe it is a Bill McDaniel. I see the seller is from Tennessee.

McD never made a cue this crude. Look close at the veneer'd boxes in the butt. Not good. I agree with asian or someone just wanting to try making a box cue.
 
I didnt zoom in. You are right. Like SBC said, the corners arent mitred on the veneers. I just text Rick to see what he says.

I was thinking Mali, in the back of my brain was a thought I have seen that design from them before. The initials are most likely the prior owner.
