help with cue

hey everyone i have a meucci original st-5 that i bought i think in 1985 im the original owner,well anyway the cue has been put away since then cause we had a child ,broke the cue out of storage last year and the joints,and butt section and ferrule are turning yellow does anybody know what kind of material was used in these areas cue is in perfect shape other than the discolor in those areas only and yes icalled the plant today and they said if not in currant production they cant tell me AYTHING about cue

It is probably just the finish yellowing. A refinish would take care of that, but also might cause you to lose the logo and you definitely want to keep the Meucci Original logo.

It's called "patina" the beauty of age.Eh?

Several of the older Meuccis turned yellow over time. It was something to do with the finish they used. Meucci cues can refinish it and have it looking like new again. I have sent several sticks to them to do and always was pleased with the outcome.

The logo on those cues are deep enough to withstand a refinish.
