I've never used it, but it's in the for sale section so I thought you should know.

I used to break with a 14mm shaft (Players PureX Jump/Break), and I'm not sure if it was the shaft size or the back weight of the cue, but I hated it. I stuck a white diamond on a poison venom 2 shaft and the playing cue butt that it came with, and I'm much happier.
The beuluah has the same bakelite tip which wasn't bad, But a white diamond is like 10 bucks.
The only thing you might be missing out on is the venom has LD qualities, which might make it a little more forgiving.
you can get it installed from seyberts for 19.00 (white diamond)
I think I should clarify:
A larger diameter tip will be more forgiving in the sense that you have more surface area to hit with, so I guess your chances of not miscuing are better (maybe).
A skinnier tip will require you to be more accurate with your break.
A LD shaft will be a little more forgiving in that if you hit it a little off center, it will still go straight, and won't deflect off as much.
So I guess theres two schools of thought where you either want to just hit the shit out of it and use a 14mm tree-trunk, or you tone it down and try to have a little more control, in which case a 12.75mm-13mm tip would be fine.
In the same section as the lucasi shaft, there's a players maple shaft for 44 bucks. Sticking a break tip on that would be good as well. The only problem is that the connection between the ferrule and shaft in some lower end cues isn't perfect, so you run the risk of potentially having the tip pop off. My cue maker warned me of this when I got a break tip installed on my dufferin, and it never came off.
