I jist picked this cue up i do not have the original shaft my buddy wqnted to keep it could someone please give me maybe the year he said 80s and the value. This is not for sale thanks
It has the earlier dog bone shaped rings and thin silver rings. So yes late1980s.Are the points BEM? The joint is white phenolic? If you want to sell it I would buy it for cash or I can do cash plus a Mac attack sneaky Pete by Bill McDaniel.
Butt only no shaft in really good condition it is worth 900 no original shaft is usually a value killer. I would pay 1000 if it's a phenolic or ivory joint. I can't stand steel jointed cues.
Love these dagger cues. Sold an ebony and stained Bem dagger cue for 1050 not too far back. McDaniel is the most underrated cuemaker every. He built awesome cues.
Late 80's sounds right, check the thickness of the silver ring at the joint if 30 thousandths 80's, if 15 thousandths more likely early 90's. To match a shaft you need to check that too.
