I am at my wits end I love my cue but it has a steel joint. My question is would it be unreasonable to ask a cue maker to make me a cue that is the same length, diameter and balance point just with a different joint. I love everything about my cue except the steel joint.

It would be less expensive to have a cue maker replace the steel joint. He may have to do some fiddling to restore the balance point but it can be done.

Any of the established cuemakers that frequent this site can make you that cue :)

What is it about the steel you don't like? Is it the hit the look or both... and what type of joint are you after?

thank you

Thanks for the replies. I just don't like the feel of a steel jointed cues hit I really like phenolic joints. I probably should have posted my cues specs in the first post 59.5 in, balance point 21.5 in from the butt I don't have calipers for the butt it is on the thin side. My shaft is a Z2. Thanks again for any suggestions you have.
