I recently traded a R Black cue for a GCI. The table is awesome,appeared to have been recovered 3 times in its long life. I was not able to reach Shane J..who dida great job of setting up a table for me 5 years ago so I used a local guy Tommie Acery of T & D Amusements in Lawton Ok..A big $ mistake. I took a day off and they did show up on time.about the only positive thing I will say. I had painted the base and assembled the frame already. They leveled the frame and put the slate down,still had the orig dowels. He had my rails and cloth for over a week and had not done them yet. They go to lunch and are going to recover the rails then,didn't happen. I was told 2 of the cushions were mishapen and needed replacement and I needed to buy some featherstrips too. $200 was tacked on for some superspeeds and fstrips. We had made a deal that he would do the job for my old furniture style table..I was good with that since I was willing to sell it for $500 anyway. I had already bought some camel 860. A week later my table is done and surprise ..it looks like heck. I have loose cloth at the head of the table and the relief cuts for the pockets look crappy.The rails are amazing,the end rails are ok,the side rails he put the folds in the front instead of inside the pockets. I called him out on this and he says thats how I always do them,if you wanted it different you should have said so. This from a guy in biz for 30 yrs and who sets uo most of the tournaments around here. I did see some pics of his work but it was most likely some one elses he took off the web.My table has a ball return but his geniuses couldn't figure it out, there solution was to tape up the bottoms of the pockets. I looked at it and I think all they needed to do was move the ball box back a bit.I have a some funny rolls,looked under the table,no shims between the frame and slate ,but plenty under the feet. Who is willing to visit Cache Ok 73527 and help me out. I plan to document all the wrongs and steps taken to correct it.
