Hemmah wins West Coast Pechauer Season Finale!

congrats

congrats to dave. Unfortunately we played. We both didnt play too sporty. Funny thing was is that after our match we were talking and he apologized for gettin a roll or two. I told him I had all the chances I needed and that I hoped he won the tournament so that I can say I lost to the guy who won the tournament. :) We both agreed that its best to lose to the guy who ends up winning, it just feels better. We had a good laugh :D . Congrats again Dave.

'Bout damn time he won a tournament. I see his name popping up everywhere with good finishes but he just never seems to get to the winners circle. Until now. Good job Dave. Peace, John.

Congrats on a GREAT weekend Dave! Always good to see the nice guys win. ;)

98 players at the tour's Finale.
$5000 added and not even a mention here on AZBilliards. I don't blame AZBilliards, I'm sure the tour folks just didn't feed any info to AZ.

The tournament was played at Hard Times Billiards in Sacramento CA and run by the tour's promoters.

Spoke too soon, the updates and brackets are on the 'latest news' colum on the 'home page' of AZ Billiars. See results and link to brakets here.

I get the feeling, that maybe the AZ website powers that be are east coast based. There was a little link.

The AZ in AZ Billiards stands for Arizona... much more west coast than east coast. I would assume that either he wasn't given the info or when there's multiple events going on, he has to pick the one he thinks will generate the most interest in order to decide which story to put on the main page.

Too bad you didn't play the way you played on me in San Diego. This might be a "congrats to Oscar" thread. ;)

My leg was bothering me pretty bad on Sunday, and I didn't get to stick around for the final, but it sounded like I really missed out. I don't know what transpired in the final, but anyone beating Billy Palmer 13-2 is playing some unbelievable 9 ball. I think Billy has not played near as much with his physical job that he has, but I would never bet against him. Congrats to you Dave! See you when my foot heals!

The Finals were played well after midnite and the young and inshape Mr. Hemmah easily defeated the older and really tired Mr. Palmer.

16 players were left on the final day and I was told that there were more than the usual amounts of Hill-Hill matches. 3hours+ per match took its toll.

Um, we all hit the road with Dave at about Midnight (getting back to LA at 5:45am), and the top 24 came back on Sunday. Lastly, I was aware of only 1 3 hour match with Frank and Gerry (?).

Am I mistaken.

congrats to dave, i dropped in for a little bit because i wanted to play in the sunday tournament. i must have been the only one in town that didnt know about the 2-day 5000 added. :o

thx. But yea, you might be right. I played one of my best matches ever. That one jump shot was one of the best shots of my career. Anyways, maybe one day... :)

Hey.. nice to see you and your dad again Oscar. Also, good to see how well you were playing Corey. I hope sometime soon that I will get a chance to get some play in, and head down your guys' way. Hopefully you will be able to make the trek back up here in the future as well.
