I prefer to do this with my high dollar cue auctions to prevent others from knowing who the bidders are. This prevents others from contacting the bidders with their own offers (it has happened before) and also in the past I have run into buyers of high dollar cues who prefer to buy in privacy.

As I can see who the the bidders are, I will tell you that some of the highest bidders in this auction are people who frequent this website. I also noticed that these same people bid on the previous Hercek Ebay auction (similar looking cue) which ended at $3500. Thus far, there have been eight different bidders with no more than two repetitions in a row with any of them.

By the way, if there was any shill bidding going on wouldn't the price be run higher? After all, a very similar cue just sold for $3500.

My reserve of $3199 has just been met on the cue, which is a very good price no matter how you look at it, conspiracy theory or not.
