Troy, its not as fancy as many of Joels cues, but yes Joel did put some work into it. Its Brazilian rosewood into maple, if it plays as I expect it will this is the cue I have always wanted. Its Joels "LEO" cue. I gave Joel a basic idea of what I was seeking and he urpassed my hopes. As I said it will not appeal to some as it isn't traditioal but to me its perfection.

Joel has found a way to incorporate traditional elements in a modern avant garde way...not a single person in the industry has accomplished this task, with the exception of Dennis Searing; except Dennis is extremely traditional and has brought the process to a level of precision unheard of...but not a single person can touch Joel as an artist IMO

Thank you for the kind words. Both Dennis and Joel are perfectionist, yes I miiss my Searing. I won't say Joel is the only one that could do this, I belive Bill Schick and Mike Bender could and probably a few others. I will say over the yrs of those I discussed my thoughts with Joel is the person that said yea I can and will do that. I have had some exceptional cues over the years that circumstances led me to part with. Once I get my hands on this one it is going no where. Every time I gaze at what Joel has created I find my self smiling.
