This is for anyone that has used both Hercules and Sniper tips. I need a comparison of the two.

I would like to know what you like or dislike between the two. I only want to know about these two types of tips please.

I have been useing Sniper for a few years now and absolutely love them. My friend told me he liked the hercules a little bit better.

So could you all please tell me what you all think of these two tips in a camparison?

Thanks

I had 3 similar shafts loaded with a Herc Med., Moori Med. and a Sniper. Herc definitely hits softer than a Sniper. Both harden up some after use, but IMO the Herc stays closer to its original feel over time. Sniper hardens up with play, then feels a lot softer after a serious shaping. If you're happy with your Sniper stay there. If you would like something consistently softer, give the Hercules a try. I've been recently leaning toward harder tips, so the Herc got replaced with a Sumo for now. I may very well try a Hercules hard in the near future, since I was very satisfied with the consistency of their medium.
Or maybe it's all in my head.

I've used Hercules hard tips for around 8 years. My first Hercules tip lasted close to 5 years and I played a fair amount of pool over that first 5 years with the tip, one summer I averaged around 40 hours a week of play and broke with it too.
For me, the Hercules hard tips haven't mushroomed or lost their crown and for being a quite hard tip I find that I rarely miscue. However, a miscue on a power draw shot will place a nick in the cloth.
After around 5 years the tip had about 40% remaining and I also switched from a Predator to a Universal shaft. It's been about 3 years now with the Universal/Hercules combination and I don't play much anymore, maybe an hour or two a week. At this rate the Hercules hard tip on the Universal will last longer than 5 years.
I did play with a sniper (medium?) tip briefly on a secondary cue, the tip I had played a little soft IMHO.
