These tables were done approximate 6 months ago by a local pool table installer. Well they played just absolute horrible. The owner decided to have me redo them. I reused the bed cloth, but miter the pocket angles. I set them to 4.5 inches, i used a 141 degree at 13 degree back cut cut from the center of each pocket.

i didnt take many photos because of time constraints and i wanted to keep at it. here is some of the pics. you can tell what was before.

Another thanks to Donny at SDbilliards for advice and help me with getting what i needed to get this job done.

good job Travis. Are the slate liner as stapled out as the rails. He really needs to retire those table and get new Diamonds. Are you using the glue method to install bed cloths?

donny, lol, i used the new half staple, half glue, rotate the cloth 180 degrees so i could create a new rack spot method. luckly the cloth wasnt stretched at all so i got 2 whole inches of stretch all the way around. i told the owner i would not recover those tables again until he either replaced the tables or have the rails overhauled. they are a complete mess and i did my best with what i had to work with. We had our first 9 ball tourney tonight and got lots of compliments on the tables. the slate liners were ok and fair. Its just the mixture of different types of slate that was a big problem. one table had two pieces of brunswick slate with 1 in backing and the middle slate had 5/8 backing. There was about 20 shims just under the center slate to raise the slate. I totally rebuilt the slate liner for that one.
