I was wandering an antique show in Palm Beach yesterday and ran across what appeared to be a 4 x 8 cue case from the dimensions and outside. Leather, nice tooling, good condition, and took the attached pictures. Price marked, was $1250.00.
The dealer advised me it was a gun case that made not the by Herman Heiser, the BEST leather worker EVER around the turn of the last century, 1900, and maybe the best leather worker of all time. It had originally housed two Winchester Model 1892 take down lever action rifles worth 125,000 ( I found the rifles selling for 3,000 so I'm going to guess I didn't hear the Model Number correctly)
