The next few days i am spending a mini vacation in Chicago. Is the anything “pool-wise” going on? What are the major billiards stores to stop buy? I am always in the market for another cue for my collection:) Maybe all the cue makers are in Philadelphia this week.

Other than a spending a few hours at Chris’, Doug’s Dogs, and Lou Malnati’s Pizza... I have a few days to relax, spend time with my beautiful wife, and look for anything that has to do with pool.

We have lots of pool halls and some great cue makers but “major pool stores”, can’t think of one.
Get a hotel with wi-fi and go to Seyberts..

I would love to hear about player thoughts for Surge Coffee bar and Billiards

It's a perfect room in my opinion. As I grow older(44 now) I have no desire to play in the places I preferred in my youth, I definitely prefer the new modern clean upscale rooms now. The Gold Crowns were perfect, the staff was a pleasure to deal with, and the coffee and drinks were a great touch. That and the Mexican grocery store next door has amazing Steak Tacos!!!

SURGE IS AWESOME! I really think this is what pool should look like in the year 2018 if it wants to grow as a sport! Don't get me wrong, the old style rooms are interesting and I can appreciate the history, but, a room like this is a place you could take a date. I was there on a Friday night and it was PACKED. A short wait for my table gave me time to check the place out. A+ in my book. We need rooms like this all over the country. Just my $0.02. :)

I stop buy Seyberts every other Thursday on my way back from the D.... but i still can’t stop myself from looking elsewhere for something special:)

Pool halls

At least for the pool halls, we have all the big ones and most small ones covered.
We are working on building the directory of retailers but it will be a while!

For pool halls, check our website or The App which is free.
Search by city and/or nearby.
Filter with tournaments and league options and/or age limits.
Sort by table size, brands and many more options.
Amenities and much more info listed under the < i > section for each pool room.

We also have the "Flyers and events" section which has most major events listed and we are pretty sure you'll find one on there for Chicago.

Have fun in the windy city and take some pictures too!
