I notice you list the Amsterdam Billiards Club under your picture. I also notice Barretta does as well. Have you ever played her? If so, how do you match up against her. From what I gather, you play pretty well so I was just wondering.

I've played Jenn a bunch of times. The last time we played, I missed 3 shots, she missed about the same and I won 7-6. I almost ran out the set at 4-4 but failed to make a ball on the break. She combo'd a 9 and broke and ran to tie. In the final game, she broke, made a ball yet couldn't see the 1. She tried to push to a jump shot yet allowed me full view. I safed, got ball-in-hand and ran out to win the set.

She plays very well. The next time I play her, I'm absolutely certain it could go the other way. I like my chances against her. I'm sure she also likes her chances against me.

Jenn and I are old friends. I've known her about as long as she's been playing. She really is a remarkable woman. Not only is she an excellent pool player, she's built like a Mack Truck and could snowboard professionally if she chose to. She's proven that she knows a lot about "what it takes".
 
League Night

I only joined the Amsterdam Team 9-ball League this summer,and already I've played Jenn, Chris Lynch, and Steve Lipsky. I lost to all three, but I enjoyed it so much more than beating hapless 3s in the APA 6-0.

I assumed he broke and ran 2 to get to the hill, then didn't make a ball. Is this right, Jude? Anyone know the name of the song on her website? I want to put in in my IPod.

Sry, I failed to make a ball on the break when I was up 6-4. It's difficult to write effectively at 6am. No, it's not the biggest accomplishment to run, break & run, break, get post and not make a ball but that's essentially what happened.

Yep, that's what happened and to add insult to injury, I left a hanging 9-ball. Jenn stepped-up and made a great bank-shot to sink the 9 and proceeded to break & run to tie. I can't tell you what the accu-stats were and I'm not going to even begin to suggest that it was GREAT pool but for a couple of shortstops, we had a great time. It's nice when a race to 7 feels really really short.


We must've run out from the break a combined 5 or 6 times out of the 13 games we played.

In case you didn't know, she used to be a body-builder. I mean, she competed as a body-builder and won stuff. Yeah, STUFF!

Also, I do sleep in on Sundays. At 6am this morning, I hadn't gone to sleep yet. Pool & Poker ALL NIGHT LONG!

Yep...she did....but I think you meant she's "solid as a rock". Her hubby is built like a Mack truck.
