My hotel charges $10 a day for the internet... I'm rarely in my room long enough to warrant paying an extra $50 for internet. I got up at 5am Wed, worked a half day, drove almost 6 hrs, watched the matches, and then was at the pool room until 4am. I was up again a little after 10am and out the door for the 11am matches... not worth paying for the internet in my room. I'm currently bumming off a friends computer at their hotel
There's another website that is updating tournament info twice a day. The only thing I have to add that they haven't yet is the matches that just ended...
Shawn Putnam vs Earl Strickland. Shawn stayed with him but then Earl caught a gear and won the set 11-8 (or 7, not positive). John Schmidt beat Raj Hundal (don't know the score. I saw John outside afterwards) CJ Wiley beat R. Howard 11-1, Tony Crosby beat Dave Bollman. I didn't recognize the guys that Brandon Shuff and Joey Korsiak were playing and they were too far away for me to read the names but both Brandon and Joey won their matches. Jerry Slivka was handily beating a guy from Taiwan.. can't spell his name but he came in 2nd at the WPC last yr.
Last night's action at the pool room saw Chris Bartrum playing Raj Hundal 10 ahead 10 ball even. I never heard a definite amount on the bet but they ended up breaking even.
Prior to my arrival the filipino contingent was playing pretty much any american that would step up to the plate.... They were playing 10 ball and giving the 7 out. Tony Watson didn't fare too well but Scott Frost did.
That's about all I got right now folks.
