If this is the same Mark Tadd I just watched play Davenport on an old Accu-stats tape, you need to get your a$$ on the IPT tour and build up that chip stack...


Since people have commented on you playing poker, I'm wondering if you have entered any of the the WSOP events.
 
sup dog ive been in utah the last three months mom is sick. as far as the ipt tour if they let me play i will play but not sure what qualifies a person ?
 
The IPT will be having qualifiers for 8 spots, Mark. You can find all the info right here on Azbilliards, I think.

Entry might be two grand to try to qualify but for someone like you, it seems a reasonable gamble. Good "pot odds" or however they say it...
 
two grand to ???????? well 2 grand to play mabye , but just to try to qualify i think i will pass respectfully. :)

Would you put up $2k for a chance at $100k.......I would expect you would make at least that if you won a qualifier spot.....JMO
 
i think i would wrather play in two 1000$ poker tournys or one 2000$ one then if i win i will win 300k to 700k . :) cause i think my skills are eaqul in both games.

I won't argue your skills or the fact that there is way more money in poker right now...... However... It's way more likely that a hack like me could make a bad call with A10 aganst your AK and suck out a straight on the river than it is for me to beat you at a race to 10 8-ball...;) :D
 
true , but the races are so short and the players so close that its like a poker tourny it seems. every one can run out and only the very best players are in this tourny. let me know if im missing something dont know the format

I don't know if I would go as far as saying the very best will be in the qualifiers...Most of the very best are all ready on the tour....

True there will be alot of "less known" hot shots trying to earn a spot....I am sure there will be some very very good players that are not world known...

I would guess though that with your background and experience, you would have a definate advantage....(if you have been playing)

There seems to be alot of good players putting down the cue and picking up the cards though.....

If I thought I had enough skill at pool, I definatley would take the shot at the IPT....

I guess the real question is.....All things being equal, what is the your driving force???...if its money...I would definatley go the poker route....If its satisfaction that I actually won something based on "skill" I would go the pool route....

IMO....there is way more "skill" in pool than there is in poker...

whoops my internet has been down . now am i reading right that it is 2000 to just qualify per event?
 
What they need to come up with is a World series of bank pool and poker tournament, and I'll be the first to back Mark........:).....Gerry

We had that last year at Jimbo's RSB Bash ! I didn't do so well at the pool!
