Check www.TheTriStateTour.com - www.PredatorProamtour.com - www.mezztour.com
For the weekly tournaments Mondays (every other) in Belleville NJ Guys & Dolls billiards.
On Tuesdays you have 3 - On the snap billiards in Sayreville, Sandcastle Billiards in Edison & Crown Billiards in Pompton plains.
On wed you have Players billiards in Eatontown.
On Thursday you have side pocket billiards but be expected to play 2 levels above your speed
Plus if you make it into the finals you will be moved up another level. & if possible move you up another level
because (they are raising everybody) all I know Is that they have raised me 4 levels above other places I play..

Good Luck!! I hope this helped :-)

Have you checked out the The Tri-State Tour? They had a tournament at On The Snap last week.

:yikes:

My last visit to On The Snap...they charged me and my friends $24 per hour and we played on only one table.

Our bill was over $100.

Tried to get a discount using my AAA card, AARP card, Moose Club, Eagles Club, and my TAP League card. Couldn't even get a discount! Screw them...I'll never go back.

This doesn't sound right. Either their was a mistake by the counterperson or perhaps you didn't understand your bill? I'd like to hear more details.

I've been to On The Snap plenty of times. It's a great room with reasonable prices.

Iggy/ignomirello summed up the weekly tourneys nicely (although this is the first handicap complaint I've heard about Side Pockets...)

It was my girlfriend and two other guys on one table. Me and my girlfriend even left for an hour to go out to eat and came back. We were even charged for that hour.

We were charged $6 per hour per person. We questioned it...believe me, and the counter person said we were getting a bargain.

It was Saturday night the week of the tournament at Edison. It was not crowded at all. For the first couple hours, we were the only people there.

$6 /hour is correct, per person. Normally, I believe it is $8/hr on Sat nights, so that might have been the SBE discount.

For the sake of argument, if you and your girlfriend told the counterperson to pause your time while you left for dinner, they would have stopped the clock. Otherwise, it keep running.

Also, it sounds like you guys had the table for more than 1 hour, being that you and your girl left for an hour?

Well yes, we were there for 5 hours and paid $24 for each hour. The counter person knew we left...there was no one else in the place.

$24 per hour is too much and me and my friends will not be back.

The table I played on reminded me of the 1970's, it was slow.:D

Just out of curiosity, where do you play in MD and what are the prices on a Saturday night?

Eric

Tuesday night On the Snap. $200 added for 16 per draw. Pro-rated for fewer than 16. I think it is $20 to get into the tourny. Handicapped. Calcutta. Food. Drinks.
Every night the rates are $8 per hour for one person. $7 per person for two people. $6 per person per hour for three or more people. Every night.
Day rates are the same, but they have a $10 flat rate from 11 to 6 per person. That is a great rate for all day.

Fat Alberts billiards in somerdale has an 8ball chip tournament Friday night and a 9ball chip tournament on Sunday night. Great pool hall, been going there since it opened.
