I walked into Comet yesterday and saw Danny Barouty at the table against Dan Louie. A friend told me Louie had run 147, missed to lead the match 147 to -1. When I came in, Barouty was on a run in the 50's. I believe he ran 102 and missed the key ball before the break shot. Louie made that key ball, then missed the break shot. Barouty had his chance. From there I lost track, other than I know Louie won.

Was that the actual recap? Or did Louie get his 147 in multiple innings?

Multiple innings. His high run in the match was in the 70s. The rest of the recap is accurate.

Brandon still holds the high run at 116. These tables play tough...

Have the pockets been adjusted? When I saw the NJ State a few years ago -- Hohmann's first year -- they were not so tough.

Bob, it's been particularly humid in the area lately. There's only so much a room owner can do to combat this, short of running up a huge electric bill blasting the air conditioning. The humidity made it tough to get the second shot after breaking.

The pockets are neither loose nor tight; perfect for straight pool.
