High End Wrapless 1 of 1 Phillippi - $2500

Up for sale is a near mint condition PHILLIPPI CUSTOM CUE, which is signed by Phillippi and inscribed "1 of 1" The forearm and wrap section (this is a wrapless cue) is a piece of highly figured Bird's-Eye Maple and features 48 points/spear tips (Purpleheart framed in ebony). The butt sleeve is Purpleheart and sports 4 large Ivory diamonds framed in ebony, Holly and Purpleheart. The cue has 3 very fancy rings in the butt and one in each of the shafts. Each ring has 24 Ivory diamonds (8 large and 16 small), and yes, each is individually inlaid. Including the ring work on the shafts, the cue has 124 Ivory inlays. Now that's INCREDIBLE!!! This Phillippi has a piloted stainless steel joint with a 5/16-14 screw. The cue comes with 2 shafts, each of which has an Ivory ferrule and rolls dead straight on and off the butt. The cue is a standard 58.0" long. It weighs 18.6 oz. with either shaft; the butt alone weighs 14.5 oz. The shaft diameters are 12.94 mm and 12.55 mm. This is a level 8 cue under the guidelines set forth in the Blue Book of Pool Cues (3rd edition 2005).


This cue was made by Rick and Richard 3 years ago and had a retail tag of $8000 dollars.

I don't mind being used as a benchmark, but in all fairness there is a big difference in turquoise vs purple heart. As well as the joint caps.

Why do people always believe that their cues are worth alot more than what it deserves? Then, I wonder why people do what they have done with me for the past 8 years of my life, maybe they just can't see their own garbage. :mad:
