high intensity workouts in pool

When I play in the city, I find it useful to work out on the 9' Pro Cut, small pocket tables in contrast to my 8' Brunswick Madison at home.

My game moves to a higher level comparable to interval training on the treadmill or periodization in lifting.

Are there pocket inserts available for my home table & if so, would it be a useful training strategy?

practicing on a table with tight pockets can improve your shot making abilities but remember that the more you concentrate on making the shot the more you lose off of your cue ball position ability and vice versa.

as far as a treadmill workout i will say this, everyone would stand to be better @ whatever they do if they were in better physical shape. be it pool, poker, sex, their job, school work.......etc. when you are in good shape you have mental clarity for longer periods of time, this leads to better deciscions and deeper concentration, which leads to better performance due to less fatigue.

hope this helps
