I just wanted to let you all know what a great experience I had with Jim Sickles of Sickles Custom Cues. I was contemplating having leather wraps put on two of my Schons. Jim PM'd me and offered a wonderful price. I shipped him my two cues last Thursday. Jim got the cues on Friday and immediately removed the linen wraps, then e-mailed me a bunch of photos of him holding some wraps against my cues that he thought would look good on them. I've got to admit, he's got a better eye for this than I do and I chose two wraps that he suggested that looked WAY better than the ones I originally thought would look good. Jim worked on my cues all weekend in an effort to get them back to me. I was bugging him constantly via e-mails and phone calls, asking questions, checking on my cues, etc. Jim returned every e-mail and phone call in the most friendly manner. I got to know Jim pretty well over the weekend and his customer service is second to none!
I got my cues back yesterday and was blown away when I saw what he did! The wraps look better than I could ever have expected. The color combination on the burgandy wrap really sets of that cue, while the other has a lot of ebony and a black wrap looks really classy. The leather is tight and the transition from leather to wood is perfect. The seams are straight and if not for the crocodile pattern, you wouldn't even be able to see them. Everyone that saw the cues at my pool hall last night was drooling over them.
If any of you need wraps done to your cues, please please please, don't hesitate to give Jim a call. He gets all of my business from now on. He is known as billiardbum on the forums and his web page is www.sicklescustomcues.com. Please check out the pics attached. Thanks for listening.
