High tech glasses/cheating at pool?

I have doubts that any glasses currently exist that would improve your ability to pocket balls.
However, I do foresee the day will arrive when glasses can display information that helps a
player with metrics and even a aim point display accompanied by helpful stroke information.

DigiBall is a indication of better things to come and maybe there’ll be a link of DigiBall to AI
intelligent glasses that display shot probability or maybe the normal cue ball deflection path.
Science is making leaps and bounds that seemed unimaginable even only a decade ago.
I'm starting to think that the Digiball is going the same way as those X-Ray glasses. Clever tech of the future that never arrives.

The real issue with meta glasses and things of the like(including ear buds) is how easy it would be for someone to get advice on virtually every shot from a friend who has more experience. I've seen it happen already and it's only going to happen more and more often.
its already going on in pool tournaments as well in many other things.
the ear buds im talking about. tiny ones that cant be seen.
that trick has been used for decades to take money off casinos, and people who use electronics for
all sorts of ways to steal.

one of the early ones was called the thumper as it gave you a little bump to tell you what to do.
still used frequently.

in pool many times a guy watching would give signals to the shooter of what to do. an old scam in one pocket when a bad player got a giant spot.

I hope leagues/tournaments are making moves to ban such devices. If they aren’t already in use they will be. Maybe not in tournaments as much as leagues.

I don't see this catching on. As someone with smart glasses, the current state is you would have to prompt the system then wait for a response. You would be able to see a dofus saying hey meta or whatever " how to play position on this shot". Automatic foul or loss of game

AR/Smart Glasses for Training

For practice (not tournament play, as they could be seen as aiming aids), AR glasses like Snap Spectacles have experimental apps (e.g., Pool Assist or Pool Aim Assistant) that overlay ghost balls, aiming lines, angles, or shot calculations in real-time using cameras and AR. These are more futuristic training tools than everyday gear and may not be practical or allowed in leagues/competitions.
This is comical. Even if it showed you lines to shoot and the english to use, shape for the next ball, etc. You still have to make the ball and have the stroke to get on the next ball.

I bought some hardware and spent some time on making glasses that simply monitor retina movement during your final stroke. Just to catch if someone is looking up before they should be. If so you’ll see a red light on the inside of the glasses. Otherwise it’ll be green.

This is doable but is challenging. I gave up for now and will try again in the future, but the software works.

Making AI glasses with the precision needed for things beyond this simple case is not currently available.
