I know the box style cases are a lot less popular these days but is there a high quality box case like the one in Color Of Money? All I see are super cheap ones or more industrial looking options. I loved the blue velour case that the Jossbushka was in even more than the cue

Thanks!

I’m a fan of the Longoni cases. They look well made. If I decided to go back to that style it’s probobly what I would get.

To the best of my knowledge there has never been a stylish box case produced with the exception of possibly some that were offered in the 60s and 70s.

Until recently O'Neil Leather Specialties manufactured and sold the finest box cases and in more configurations than one can imagine including custom interiors.

The McDermott cases were very well made. They were were up til early 90's i believe. A friend has a blue one and its built like a tank. 35yrs old and still looks new.

I would agree, but O'Neil took it to the next level, especially with their larger cases and dealer display cases.

O'Neil box cases were/are? made as good as it gets in my opinion - I have 2X2 in like new condition- will consider offers above $120+boxing/ shipping for it. The original Palmer box cases were well made as well as Heublers.

Agree that both O'Neil cases and the old McDermott branded blue cases are very nice, if you can find them.

All the best,
WW

O'Niel makes nice box cases and I'm sure the OP appreciates all the suggestions towards them, good option, I have a similar one from McDermott, but it's obviously not what they were looking for...As his response to my post says...

Not many make CUSTOM HIGH QUALITY box cases.. Bill from WAF does just that.

You want QUALITY CUSTOM? Talk to Bill

Thanks everyone! Bill’s work is exactly like what I want. I also discovered GD’s butterfly cases and want one of those too now

Had several OG O'Neal cases including a dealer case and 3 3x3's used for storage then started thinning collection and let them go. They were excellent quality. Think owner got ill and son took over ? I remember they were trying a comeback a few years back.

Also had a 4x8 ? 'ZERO' that was cool as hell but interior foam was starting to fall apart from age. Probably could have had new foam cut but sold it. Something about that Zero that brought me back to the 80's.....

Have a good day,

-Kat,

I second this, great to talk to. And, WAF cases has already made his version of TCOM case.

It's a beauty in my opinion.
