i have had about a week to work with my new hightower lathe, its the newer screw feed. and i really like it. this is my 3rd hightower lathe and one inlay machine.
i also have repair lathes made by different lathe builders and they all work great, but the hightower is my personal favorite. anyone that is thinking about getting a lathe should talk to chris and tell him what you want to do and he will build you a lathe that will do the job. his components seem to have a better fit and a better finish. as with most applications, you need good equipment to do a good job, and his customer service is as good as i have ever seen.
