History of pool spreading internationally?

I can find a lot on the history of European billiard games evolving into pool, but does anyone have a good link that talks about how and when pool spread from America back to Europe and then to Asian and Middle Eastern countries? I figure it stems from U.S. military stationed overseas, but curious about the wheres and whens, and the further spread of the game.

You pretty much got it. It's only spread big to Europe and mainland Asia in the last 20-30 years due to the world getting smaller in terms of media and travel.

It spread to the Philippines much earlier because the Philippines was a US Territory.
