HERE IS THE RULE STRAIGHT OUT OF THE WORLD STANDARIZED RULE BOOK
3.3 Break Shot
The following rules apply to the break shot:
(a) The cue ball begins in hand behind the head string.
(b) No ball is called, and the cue ball is not required to hit any particular object ball first.
(c) If the breaker pockets a ball and does not foul, he continues at the table, and the table remains open. (See 3.4 Open Table / Choosing Groups.)
(d) If no object ball is pocketed, at least four object balls must be driven to one or more rails, or the shot results in an illegal break, and THE INCOMING
PLAYER HAS THE OPTION TO.
(1) accepting the table in position, or
(2) re-racking and breaking, or
(3) re-racking and allowing the offending player to break again.
You would think in a event like this 1 was they would have had refs there that were certified or people who at least knew the rules.
Also jon you said when the tournament we were playing BCA rules with the acception that it was all ball fouls.
You also said in world standarized you get to break again if 4 balls dont get to a rail as you can see the is not true.
Jon I will give you a little credit you had a great set up for the tables and the apperence was awesome look like a class act event.butttttttt
This event was run very poorly and you kept changing everything mid stream and where was gabe owen that you advertised to be there I know alot players that came up just because he was to be there.
The numbers were really low for event like this and i know from what was being said you lost alot of the players that did show up to start with. along with dozen or so that walked out before or during the tournament.
I hope for future events you get this stuff worked out before you try this again Cause I think you could have some nice events and my hats off to you for trying.
hopefully with the low numbers ho-chunk will still put some more tournys in there.
