Homemade Tip Compression

I'm looking for a way I can compress (elkmaster, for snooker) tips at home, with out much equipment. I play with a local pro's compressed Elkmaster's but he can be difficult to get a hold of sometimes, especially when I desperately need a tip. I've looked at the Picone pressers, but am curious what tricks the forum has up its collective sleeve.
Any ideas?

Use a bench vise. Get a domed piston from a machine shop for a few dollars. Presto!

Get a 'C' clamp.... (put between 2 pieces of metal)... squeeze away.

You will have better result with constant preasure- put the tip below car wheel
