Well today I picked up a few billiard related things.

For $100, I got a set of Brunswick Centennial Balls, two wooden racks(9 ball and triangle), a few imperial chalks, table cleaner brushes, a can of table cleaner and a really cool tip scruffer tool.

Hope everyone got what they wanted!

I did for sure! My dad who is 85 years old was able to participate in all of our Christmas Festivities again this year. He has been suffering from a steady decline due to vascular dementia for several years which is manageable but difficult at times. This year since August he has had to go into the Hospital, then thru a skilled nursing center and then a round of PT at home twice! The First time thru all of that we didn't really know or get a solid diagnosis of what was causing his health issue. The second time thru was indeed the charm! A different doctor at the hospital tracked down and discovered the fact that he has had very low sodium levels in his blood and it had gotten worse. With a change in Meds and a fluid restriction his sodium levels are back to normal and he is like a totally different person now. Much more engaged and participatory in the events around him which is great. The real bonus in this is the fact that very low sodium levels also cause confusion and disorientation...basically some of the VERY same symptoms as dementia in addition weakness and unsteadiness on his feet. This means he is not nearly as far down the dementia rabbit hole and declining as fast as we were beginning to think he was! He is indeed my Christmas Miracle in that he is able to continue to live at home with me still at 85 years old!:)

Life is good.

My daughter and her family are a couple hundred yards from me. My beautiful granddaughter has not had a seizure in about 5 weeks. No one in our immediate family was in the hospital.

I took it all in and thanked God and celebrated the one day that we set aside to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Right now, life is good.

I wanted for nothing and had a Merry Christmas!
