THANKS to ZEEDER for hosting my pics.
Cheers.

Heres some pics of my HOPPE collection.

1. Hoppe cue rebuilt by BOB MANZINO 1/03.
This cue was built from a 2 piece hoppe butt.
Bob did a fantastic job and left the Hoppe signature
and 21 stamp in the cue. It adds to the style of the cue.
I wish all cue makers would do this.

2 Shafts w/ Ivory Ferrules - Moori tips
Ivory Joint w / Black and white dash rings with brass accent rings. .
Southwest style joint pin. Stamped w/ Manzino name on top. Brass.
Wrap - TIGER leather stack wrapped. Polished smooth.
BUtt Cap - Ivory Hoppe ring with Black Bottom.
No rubber bumper.

2nd Hoppe built By Nat Green at SE custom Cues. This cue was built
from a 1 piece Hope and has no wrap. 10/18/05

1 shaft is a flat laminated shaft that was built from a blank from
berringer cues. 35 flat laminates. I went with this on a whim and it
hits like a dream. I recomend trying one.

1 regular shaft.
Both shafts have a 1/2 inch ivory ferrules w Moori tips.

Wood to wood Joint w/ Light brown rings.
Joint pin. Not sure. Waiting to hear from Nat.
No wrap.
Butt cap is the same light brown as the joint rings with an ivory bottom.
No rubber bumper.

Both cues play like a dream. I cant wait for number 3 to arrive in march. Dennis Searing will be adding to my Hope to my collection. This will be made from a 2 piece butt and have his awsome leather wrap. Short style s/s Joint.
Cant wait to get it. I have 3 other 1 piece Hopes to have redone. Thinking maybe Mottey or James White, Richard Chuddy, and I just emailed Bill Schick.

Shorty i drool every time i see your Schick Hoppe. If you ever want to give that puppy up, I have a slot open for it.

Thanks for Looking

Any other Hoppe cue pics out there

Does any one else have Hoppe conversions. If so post your pics. Also i have 3 others to be rebuilt. Any sugestions. I have one on the way from Dennis Searing. Lets make this a Hoppe Pic Post.

Hi all,

I am a newbie here and a sucker for Titlist and Hoppe cues...hence the nick

Both these babies went to Bert Schrager for a conversion... but Bert didnt finish it after 2 year wait and was pretty ill that time.

Thankfully out came Jim Buss who finished up the cues for free . A swell of a guy and a fantastic cuemaker, what else u can ask for?

Nice lookin Hoppe cues.

Sweet looking cues. Nice to see some others out there. I am on my way to selling off all other cues i have and staying with hoppe conversions, i love how they look and play. I saw my first Hoppe conversion in maybe 98 and knew i wanted one. Now i am addicted.

I was looking for one with a solid forearm, good points, and a nice label. But now I need suggestions on how to restore. I don't want to embellish the points and I want to keep the part of the butt with the label, but clearly need a new joint, shaft, wrap, butt (extension?). Thoughts are much appreciated as to how to make it playable but maintain it's integrity - also, who to send it to.

Keeping the labels

Due to the process of removing the old finish, the label at the bottomis not goa be there. I have never seen a conversion with that label. My BoB Manzino does still have the hoppe signature and the number 21 on it. Most of the conversions even loose this. You have to just talk to any cue maker to get them rebuilt, Tell them you really want the name left on if possible. God luck.

Thats Steep for an opening bid

Saw the Schick Hoppe on Ebay, 1800 for first bid. I know its a Schick but a little high in my book.
