I think it has already been refinished by someone. I have 3 original hoppe's and 1 conversion coming and have never seen a hoppe with that kind of pin......................mike

the cue has obviously already been reworked
it could be the original pin, the joint has been cut
to aprox 1/3 it's regular length - but it looks like an 18
not a 14 to me

also, added buttcap...

the good news, maybe
that could be an old ivory ring from pre-rework
and the points look to be in good shape

it should work fine for a conversion

yeah.. not for a 3500 dollar conversion, before you pay somebody to do it..
