I'm going to be spending a few days in Houma from time to time recruiting for my employer.

Anybody know where some good places to play while I'm there?

There is one bar where the most action is. All bar tables (8, I think). It is near Hollywood and North 24th street. I can't remember the name off the top of my head. You might have to ask around. There is a Mexican restaurant and a couple of other bars on the same street. One block north of Hollywood behind the gas station, there is a road that goes in front of an old grocery store. Take that road and it will curve in front of the Mexican restaurant, and the bars will be on your right. It is one of the bars on your right. Sorry I can't be more specific about the name, I live near Lafayette and am currently on business in Houston. Good luck. No true champions there, but a few pretty solid players. If you have about 1 hour to go to a pool hall, you should try to drive to Metairie and go to Buffalo's Billiards on Airline Hwy right near Causeway Blvd. Great action and quite a few really good players.

They do have a big pool room with lots of bar tables. The rest room of wafflehouse in Houma is the cleanest out of all the waffle houses from phoenix,AZ to Norfolk,VA

Well, I am actually from texas but I am here near lafaette looking for a job. I stopped in a fast eddies here and I seen 2 guys throwing quarters to the head spot. They stood about 4 or 5 feet behind the table and the closest one to the head spot won 100 dollars! They were throwing for quite a while. So, if you can throw quarters to the spot well, you can make a pretty good score there.
