House cue maintenance

From what my lathe customers have told me the average is $4 to $7 and they usually only do them if they get 10 or more at a time. Some clean the shafts and re-tip them for a flat charge of $10, but most room owners just want them retipped.

I charge 5 dollars. I also reset and reglue ferrules if needed, that alone has made a lot of repeat customers and makes my job easier the next time the cues come back.

I fashioned a small disk sander for my lathe, and prepare a whole box of tips in less than 20 minutes. Average time per cue, maybe 5 minutes, but lately, I have extended it to 10 minutes and I dont feel so rushed.

What kind of rate is average when replacing tips on the house cues for the pool halls?

I normally charge $4 per cue and $10 for a tip and ferrule. I have a number of Taverns / Bars that bring their cues into my business for repair work. I do not charge them anything extra if it one cue or thirty at a time. I have a young man who works for me who wants to learn cue repair and this gives him plenty of practice.:D
