I recently read a thread wherein someone suggested that using a house cue for a couple of days could help get a guy through a slump. I tried it. It worked. And I fell in love with the house cue. In fact, I bought the house cue and made a PVC tube case for it so I could use it as my main player.
The house cue is an old 21oz Dufferin with a 12mm hard tip and a conical taper (the taper is like a parking cone).
My question:
If I ordered a Schmelke sneaky, 3/8x10 wood to wood joint with a 12mm hard tip and conical shaft, would it hit anything like the Dufferin? Or is the joint a weak spot? Or is it something else that makes old house cues so awesome?
Thanks in advance.
